Medical-Aesthetic Treatments that can be carried out throughout the year, especially in summer.
Most people have a certain predisposition to make certain aesthetic changes in summer; due to high temperatures and sun exposure. However, there are medical-aesthetic treatments that are perfectly compatible with the sun, and it may even be advisable to carry them out at this time of year.
Botulinum Toxin Treatment
Is one of the safest and most demanded techniques in Facial Aesthetic Medicine. It is the method of choice for attenuating dynamic or expression wrinkles in the upper facial area; since it acts by relaxing the communication between the nerves and the muscles. The treatment is carried out in a single session.
It consists of performing small-dose infiltrations with a very fine needle at previously studied points, which minimizes the risk of possible adverse effects. These points vary from one patient to another depending on facial mimicry. It gives the face a relaxed look, as it prevents the formation of wrinkles without losing personal expressiveness. Its benefits begin to become apparent from the 3rd or 4th day and are consolidated after 2 weeks. It does not require anesthesia of any kind.
Fillers Treatment
The fillers are products to provide volume, or correct the effects of aging. They are usually used on the face, but more and more, they are emerging for other areas, such as the neck and other parts of the body. The most used are hyaluronic acid, although redensification and collagen generators, such as caprolactone and calcium hydroxyapatite, are increasingly used for their properties and durability. They are applied through very small syringes and do not leave any scars.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be cross-linked and non-cross-linked, they are used to give volume and fill furrows and wrinkles. They are very safe and effective. Due to their nature, they are not permanent fillers and reabsorb over time. In general they last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the degree of reticulation of the material. The areas where they are most used to restore facial volume are: cheekbones, chin, lips, nasogenian fold (wrinkle that joins the nostril with the corner of the lips) or marionette lines (fold from the corner of the lips to the edge jaw). Fill wrinkles or small wrinkles.
Tension Threads
They are used to treat flaccidity and loss of tension in the skin. During the aging process, there is a decrease in collagen in the skin, this produces a progressive decrease in the tissues of the face, appearing the nasogenian grooves (puppet grooves), the maxillary bags and the facial oval is lost. Thread lifts are the best non-aggressive treatment to reverse all these changes.
In the Consultation we use the Vectorial Suspension technique, in which resorbable threads are applied to achieve a practically immediate result. Likewise, the generation of collagen around the threads maintains the changes in the long term. It is a simple method, practically painless, it only requires local topical anesthesia in cream.
